Drainage
Desilting

Years of silt, sand and debris choke drainage capacity and trigger urban flooding. HYVAX restores full flow with hygienic, vacuum-based desilting — no manual scooping, no spillage, no shortcuts. Just open, clean, working drains.

Why Desilting Matters

Silt is Silent
Until It Floods

A drain that looks fine on the surface can be 60% blocked underneath. Sand, grit, organic matter and construction runoff settle and harden over months. The first heavy rain finds out. Regular vacuum desilting keeps capacity at design spec — and keeps streets dry.

01

Flood Prevention

Restore full hydraulic capacity before monsoon season — turn flood-prone zones back into resilient infrastructure.

02

Hygienic Method

Vacuum extraction into sealed tanks — no exposed silt, no health risk to workers or the public.

03

Zero Spillage

Material goes directly from drain to debris tank. No piles on the road, no secondary cleanup required.

04

All Drain Types

Municipal stormwater, kerbside drains, culverts, catch basins, and industrial collection systems — all handled.

The Process

How We Desilt
A Drain Network

Systematic, sectional, and documented — we map the network, work it section by section, and hand back full-capacity infrastructure with photographic evidence.

Stage 01

Network Walk-Through

Inspection of access chambers and outfalls. We assess silt depth, drain condition, and identify any structural issues to flag.

Stage 02

Section Isolation

Traffic management deployed where needed. Manhole covers lifted in sequence to control airflow and avoid surge.

Stage 03

Water Loosening

Pressurised water is introduced to mobilise compacted silt into a pumpable slurry — gentle enough to leave the drain structure intact.

Stage 04

Vacuum Extraction

Slurry is drawn directly into the sealed tank. Visual inspection confirms each section reaches base level before we move on.

Stage 05

Verification & Disposal

Post-clean photos and CCTV (on request) confirm flow capacity. Spoil is transported to licensed disposal — manifest provided.

Where We Work

Applications

From municipal stormwater grids to private industrial campuses — same standard everywhere.

Hygienic.
Documented.
Reliable.

Traditional desilting means workers in the drain with buckets. We use industrial vacuum technology that keeps people safe and the work auditable. Every job is photographed, every load tracked.

Frequently Asked

Common Questions

How often should drains be desilted? +
For most networks, annually before the monsoon. High-traffic or construction-adjacent drains may need 2-3 cycles per year. We can recommend a schedule after assessing your site.
Can you work on live drains during rain? +
Yes — our vacuum systems handle wet conditions. We do prefer to schedule major works in the dry season for visibility and efficiency, but emergency monsoon response is available 24/7.
Do you provide CCTV inspection? +
Yes — pre and post-clean CCTV inspection is available as an add-on, particularly valuable for municipal contracts and engineering audits.
What happens to the silt afterwards? +
Collected silt is transported to a licensed disposal or treatment facility. We provide the full waste manifest as part of every contract.
Do you handle traffic management? +
For roadside and highway drainage we coordinate traffic management as required, including liaison with municipal authorities for permits.
